Avery Mendel

Avery Mendel Daves is a 26 year-old mother [1] artist currently living back in Florida, after a year abroad in Costa Rica [2].Avery graduated from Rollins College [3]with a major in Art History and a minor in Studio Art[4]. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, but grew up in South Florida[5] where she attended many schools[6]. She has worked personally and professionally with artists locally and internationally, while also working in museums and galleries. Ave Daves is a full time mommy, but paints for gifts and commissions. She enjoys creating colorful, provocative pieces that spark conversation. Oil paints with hints of gold leaf accents have been her preferred medium. If you ever wondered what was going on in Avery’s[7] head, you would find it in her paintings of mania/depression, grief, love, religion, and thanks.

We are so happy to have Avery as part of our Art on a T family and look forward to continuing our collaborations.

[3]On time! Lost a semester to newly diagnosed disorder, but managed to double/triple up on classes to make up for the lost time and prove she could graduate on time.
